Edward De Bono and His theory on the 6 thinking hats


Edward De Bono's 6 is a model which can be used for exploring different perspectives towards a complex situation or challenge. seeing things in a differnt way and from different point sof views are helpful and make complex situations easier and successful. This theory is described as being "the perfect students brain" This is done through 6 differnt coloured hats.
BLACK HAT
Critical Judgement, identifies hazards, barriers. LOGICAL NEGATIVE view
WHITE HAT
Focuses on information available,objective facts, what is needed and how it can be obtained
BLUE HAT
Helps to ensure the group remains focused on the task ans improves theri chances of achieving their objectives.
RED HAT
Feelings and emotions, excersing their gut instinct-presents views without justification/explanations
YELLOW HAT
positives, identify benefits associated with an idea/issue. Uses logical positive view! looks for benefits and what sgood
GREEN HAT
creative thinking,possibilities and hypotheses, new ideas
I am going to take on the role of the YELLOW HAT!
